Since 2017, I’ve sketched at a Lucha Libre match in Mexico City, the Deep Water Literary Festival, the Women’s March in NYC, and Grahamsville Little World’s Fair, not to mention countless concerts, museums, and readings. With my drawings I like to include bits of conversations, or thoughts. Sometimes these sketches give me ideas for later graphic stories or comics. 

 

I like to use recycled paper and old books for my sketching. I see the process of drawing as a communication tool offering instant emotional connection. I am very interested in developing a visual language to express the interconnection between political and personal histories across the borders of race, gender, age, and geography.
